The following pages contain the brief history of the Province from its formation to present day. The Province was formed in February 1898. It celebrated its centenary in February 1998.

The Province in its hey day had some   100       lodges under its control. The Province boundary is divided into five areas  Merthyr North, Merthyr South, Rhymney Tredegar and Aberdare. Today there are 18 Lodge in the Province. It has Examining Council, Knight痴 Chapter N0 2 seconded oldest in the Order and also has the Roll of Honour Assembly N0 12.

The Province is still very active and flourishing. Like all organization we have suffered in membership stagnation. It is hoped that the membership will improve as we join the information super highway.
